B2 visa for my non american spouse

Im american living abroad married to non american.

Last year we tried getting him b2 visa n it was denied even after showing evrything that he intends to return.

Would any one know why they would deny him a visa

They gave him a paper with the denial reason, didn't they?  It must have said something like "refused under INA 214(b)".  It means they don't believe he intends to leave the US if he is able to travel there with a B2 visa.

Do u think there is a possibility its coz im an American?

Is there any american who managed to get their spouse a tourist visa?

I mean im not ready to petitiin for him we dont intend to immigrate to the usa.

It was just for a holiday and to see my family.i ended up going alone but came back after 2 weeks

Being married to an American is definitely a big factor for the visa denial.  Of course there are spouses of Americans who have been granted B visas.  You'll even find a few reports from them if you browse this forum.  Those spouses were able to convince the interviewing officer of their very strong ties to their home country.

Any person who applies for B2 visa is already assumed to have immigrant intent, and intent to stay illegally and/or bypass the long immigration queue.  Having a US spouse is a very strong tie to the US.  The onus is on him to overcome that obstacle.  In the end it is CO discretion.

Some spouses of US citizens never get the chance to visit the US. If you read the forums, you’ll read many anecdotes attesting to that fact. Once in a while, a spouse will be successful… and that includes the ability of obtaining a tourist visa WITH a pending immigrant visa. 

It depends on a variety of factors: age, country of origin, travel to other countries, job and other ties to their country of residence. 
 

If your spouse’s only ties to their current country is you… they don’t have a great chance of visiting the US.
