Scottish ultra-marathon runner Joasia Zakrzewski has been disqualified from a race – because she was found to have used a car.

The 47-year-old from Dumfries had finished third in the GB Ultras Manchester to Liverpool race on 7 April. But she is believed to have travelled 2.5 miles in a car after mapping data found she covered a mile in one minute and 40 seconds. Wayne Drinkwater, the director of the GB Ultras race, told the BBC it was “very disappointing”.

Liverpool to Mnchester is of course the oldest passenger train line, if she had used the train then she could have accused her detractors as being trainsphobic.

Also what sort of car did she use? Must have been a slow one as she only came third. Or did 1 and 2 use faster cars?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Yet this is the opening line of said article😄

A top Scottish ultra-marathon runner who was disqualified for using a car during a race has blamed an injury and jetlag for her decision to break the rules and then accept a trophy for third place.

😄😄😄😄

So she poses for photos with a wooden trophy and medal then afterwards comes to her senses? Allegedly getting into the car of a friend to inform the organizers that she is pulling out from the race. Why didn’t she do just that and instead continue running and making sure she didn’t “interfere with the runner ahead”?😄

I do not blame her. She is in  sport where men where men with dresses are allowed to compete.

Female motorists transitioned to trans women should be a thing.

I read this and it is an interesting story.  She said she was essentially goaded into finishing the race.  If she was hurt or not feeling well, why didn't she drop out or just walk?

Heck, cut out the middle-man so-to-speak, just take a car from beginning to end and then self-identify as the winner.
