Case "put under review"

Hello good folks of VJ,

We applied I-130 last July, and received NOA1 that states Nebraska SC. Today, Emma live agent informed me that my case is currently at Potomac SC and was placed under review on 27th March. Can anyone share what "under review" means? Is someone actively looking at my request now?

Cheers!!

Oh wonderful! Thank you! I wonder how long this "stage" will take.

it depends on

1/  if all the documents are there for the process

2/  if the USC has reported any past arrest(S)  and submitted proper court papers

3/  any reason for an RFE

4/ is the officer doing the work the slow lane or fast lane like in a store

so,  in truth,  this can't be answered here

Even though it is taking longer than it use to ,  there are a lot less documents to submit these days /of example,  we use to have to send originals of everything and all pages of our passport -even blank ones.  so, if all your documents are properly presented and signed,  should be soon  as its been almost a year
