do we put 0, because I’m already counted in number 1. (persons you are sponsoring in this affidavit)

In his I-864 for you, you should not be counted twice.  So "0" for item# 3.

we put three children ( including my child, who is now his stepchild, although he was never filed so far in my husband tax returns) , correct?

Count all 3 children, assuming they are all minors.

Hey guys,

So as far as I understand I have to post and add my further questions here in this thread, even if it’s about different topics?

so before sending our aos package out I have some remaining questions:

1. in the form instructions they only mention check for payment. If I check the uscis page they talk about credit card option too. So I printed out the credit card authorisation form and I’m going to attach one with each form with the exact pricing for that form, correct?

2. how exactly do i attach pictures as evidence ( family gatherings, parties, wedding) ? Can I place each event in a clear folder and put a post it on with the description of the event? Or do I have to write on the back of each and every picture what event and date? (We have a lot of pictures and events)

3. here in this forum it only mentions the Chicago lockbox as an Adress to send the forms to, on the uscis page they say to check which lockbox to use depending on where you live?

4. we are filing for my child too, together with me. Should I attach to his package the same evidence of bonafide marriage etc that I attach to my form I-485 and I-130? (Pictures, marriage certificate, divorce decree, joint lease for me and my husband)

5. did you guys use paper clips or clear folders to Organize and separate the different forms better? Is that allowed?

 Thank you!

Another question: do I add a table of content sheet on top of each and every form stating the form Type and attached copies? Or do I just do the table of content sheet for the whole package overall and state what forms and evidence it includes? Do I include listing of evidence or do I just state the forms that I provide?

Or do I just do the table of content sheet for the whole package overall and state what forms and evidence it includes? 7. for form I-765: do I need to attach marriage certificate to proof that I’m filing under category c09?

8. for form I-765 for my child: should I  attach birth certificate to proof that I’m his mother and have permission to file this for him? Dlni attach marriage certificate to proof that my child is my husband stepchild and therefore elegible to file this?

 Thank you!

1. I urge you to use personal check, cashier's check or money order. Too many times credit cards flag transactions as fradulent, rejecting AOS packet. You can search forum to see recent examples.

2. In Word / Google Docs prepare document. On each page place two or three photos and annotate them underneath with date, event or description, place and people on photo. Do not submit photos as they are or in envelope. They should be scanned as mentioned above.

5. No need to be doing anything fancy. No folders etc. Everything should be organized into a single stack of papers to allow fast scanning into USCIS system. Cover letter, payment etc on top, followed by all forms, followed by evidence. You can provide table of contents in the beginning.

7. You need marriage certificate as evidence anyway in the packet. Yes, include a certified copy.

DO NOT submit any original documents other than certified copies of marriage certificate and other things you can easily obtain again. Original passports, birth certificates etc won't be returned to you.

No, table of contents for entire packet.

Thank you! In regards to certified copy of marriage certificate: this means make a copy of the certified original document ( a copy that includes the court stamp, correct?) or does this mean I need to submit an original certified copy that I ordered from the court and submit this exact original?

^^ This is what I meant.

You can always order more of those, so submit original certified copy. It's already a copy as the name suggests 😃

Got you! Thank you for this tip, I would have definitely done that wrong and submit only the copy of the certified copy if that makes sende lol. So, I do that for every form that requires a certified copy, correct? So of example form I-130 and form I-485 requires to submit this, I will order that amount of copies at the court and submit these originals, correct?

Because you're submitting I-130 and I-485 together, you only need in once in evidence section. No need to duplicate evidence.

Got you! So I add one certified copy for my packet and another one for my child’s packet , correct?

and: I do the following order in the package : all forms (i-130, I-131, I-485, I- 864 etc etc.) and stack them. Then I add a full packet of all evidence for all the forms, correct?

so I don’t do: form i-130 followed by evidence, form I-485 followed evidence. Etc etc.

sorry for asking so much! You’re a huge help, thank you!

Yes, this is how it would work for several packets. However, I'm not 100% sure whether child should be included in your packet or have their own packet. Do you know you need separate packet for sure?

Yes, all evidence for all forms at the back of packet. No further sections inside of evidence section is needed.

This is how my AOS packet was done by lawyer and got approved.
