For 221g case reviews, is it the same interview consular officer who reviews?

For cases that receive 221g request for additional documents, once the documents have been uploaded and package handed off to the embassy, is it the same interview consular officer who reviews it? Because in my case, they said to write on the package "221g Processing Unit"....that sounds like someone from a different department is reviewing it.

There is no way of knowing the details of internal processes at consulates.  DOS doesn't publish such info.

 

I would guess that with the stakes being so high, questionable files/documents are reviewed by many eyes.

any of the CO's could look at your additional info and process the petition

Would u want to depend on 1 particular CO who could be on vacation or maternity leave (i say that as the 1 CO that interviewed Adil for K1 was very pregnant)

NOPE,  u want it handled by anyone in the embassy that is qualified to proceed with the petition

 

and i suspect all 221g's request need to final approval from the supervisor
