Hi all, I’m a 100. % disabled vet for mental health reasons. I expedited my case but was denied. My congressman asked me if I can get a letter from my psychiatrist. She was more than happy to write a letter for me. I gave the letter to my congressman to submit to immigration services. So may not hear back for a couple weeks. Anyone have a similar situation? Getting antsy waiting on this. Any chance I get approved?

thanks

On what basis are you seeking an expedite?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

I do not think it is likely that your expedite case will be approved, but it's not impossible. All you can do is try, but I would not be hopeful. With the current backlogs at USCIS, expedite requests just add more paperwork.

If you can fill out your timeline here on visa journey and list also the country of the beneficiary it might give us a better indication. When did you file? What stage is your K1 at?

I wish you the best in your K1 journey and thank you for your service.

I did get denied, even with a doctors letter and the help of my congressman. She lives in Qatar. They received the application Jan 3rd 2023. Any chance for her to be here by Jan next year?

Probably looking at this time next year so you have plenty of time to get more visits in.
