We need to develop political initiates to get congress to pass laws to enact oversight over the USCIS to ensure ;

timely processing

a transparent rules-based approach

competition for performance improvements

competition for lower fees

That’s what my attorney told me too.

and they aren’t required to do a good job the entire centralization scheme is UN-American

I'm sure a private company could blow them away

The immigration process is much too complex to hand off to a private company, imo.

They already spy on everything we do and keep a unified database.. this is about making you pay for the illusion of privacy…

As far as I can see, it has absolutely nothing to do with privacy.  As I said, it is very complex.

I don’t think the issue is just with USCIS pushing paper, there are a lot of other tentacles involved such as NARA, the FBI, state and local LE, DoS when it comes to visa applications, etc.  Add to that they are responsible for handling asylum applications as well that has recently ballooned.  I am not making excuses for USCIS as the job they do for the most part is pretty inefficient, but we are talking about an inefficient federal bureaucracy.

they do not connect to the databases that are used by the CIA, NSA, FBI. And require you to communicate between agencies for them.

their attitude is that they are providing a benefit that you have to pay for at every step

when tax money has already paid for it

as for the USCIS, the CATO institute did a study which said that COVID was not a valid excuse for the present situation - not that the wait times were acceptable before COVID

any institution without legal requirements to perform and without competition

will likely be as slow and painful as the USCIS

The wait times cause harm to families and individuals… and the processes need to be completely spelled out and transparent so that they can’t be abused by agents due to their emotional whims

Yeah that’s very true - definitely can’t put all the blame on USCIS.

I'm not sure you have a proper grasp of the actual process.  Good luck in your journey.

How they choose to process

is based on their attempt to portray the illusion of privacy

when in reality they could connect to the intelligence databases and verify our information
