One member here applied for ROC in 2019 and after 3.5 years filed N400.  4 months after filing for citizenship both ROC and N400 were approved.

OP,  you should file for citizenship.  It has been faster nowadays and seems to shock the ROC back into life.

2-4 years seems to be the wait time for most I-751s these days unfortunately.  My husband filed in May, 2021 and is still waiting.  The 48-month extension letters just give USCIS more time to work through the backlog so they are in no hurry.  File N-400 as soon as you are eligible.

Until you file N-400 or WoM, possibly never.

USCIS can make the argument that with the 48 month extension

letter and the new I-551 ADIT stamp by mail process, adjudicating these petitions is not important.

So the extension letter which is the current application my wife is dealing with has her updated marital name and the expired green card has her maiden last name. Would that be an issue when Rentering the United States since your supposed to show those 2 things. Thanks

If she brings an original marriage certificate, then — legally — no issue.

That sounds like my wife:

Filed I-751 in March 2019.

Filed N-400 in August 2022.

Both I-751 and N-400 approved 4 months later in Dec 2022 (combo interview).

Wife took citizenship oath in January 2023.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.  It took 6 weeks for Passport.
