Next steps and precautions for US Tourist Visa Holder (merged)

My mom got approved for US tourist Visa. Such a lovely news. We booked her a ticket for thisnend of the month and will stay in the US for 11 weeks. I’m aware she can only stay here maximum of 3 months. Now, I am not sure what are the next steps. She already got her passport with the Visa in it. Any other preparation for her I need to be aware of? Documents? Port of Entry questions? Thanks in advance. I feel like I need to get things out of the way before her flight so her flight will be smooth for her. She will be flying by herself. Senior citizen by the way.

Maximum length of stay is 6 months; the exact length will be defined by the CBP officer. 

 

She will very likely be asked: who is she visiting, where is she staying, what are her plans during her stay, the length of her visit and proof of her return. 

 

Where is she from?

For tourists with a B1/B2 visa, which is OP's case, it is six months.

In general, B visas are issued for a 10 year period, and length of stay per CBP is up to six months.  However, people with B visas issued in certain countries can get significantly shorter periods of both visa validity and length of stay.

Based on CBP officer's discretion not a specific policy, which is exactly what I said in my initial post. 

 

The length of both the visa and stay are defined case by case, not per country.

No, there are reciprocal considerations by country for the visa length as well

 

Anyway, to reiterate what I said:  not all tourists will get the 6 month stay approved at CBP.

Yes. She has a return ticker. I was wondering if there is any other documents she can prepare for herself upon departure? Or to present to the port of entry.

Return ticket, ties to her home country such as a job,house, credit card and so on. So happy she was approved!
