RFI 4/11, Submitted new docs 4/11

So on page 8 of i864, my signature is handwritten and my date is typed. So they wanted the date as well to be handwritten not typed which I find BS. My other case was accepted even if my date was typed and signature was handwritten.

The RFI was for my CR1 case.

Whoops. I should have checked this thread before I submitted tonight. That's super weird that you would be required to write the date by hand when it's a typeable field, especially when it's nowhere in the instructions.

Good day everyone,

UPDATE: I just received today at 1 AM an email with RFI. Consider that my process is EB2

NVC didn't accept our police records from Panama, it didn't had apostille 😶.

Now I need to look for a Lawyer in Panama to help me with that, as I don't live there anymore. And the process to get the police certificate according to the Panamanian Agency, is at least 10 days + requesting online the process for apostille, and then they will give you an appointment.

I will keep you informed about when I resend the documents, and any further notice.

But, from the bright side, NVC reviewed my documents in 14 days. I think that is really good for EB mailed processing times.

All the best.

Thanks for the update! Helpful to know the review time.

I am so glad my wife ended up getting the police record apostilled now that I read this (Honduras). They don't ask for apostilled on the NVC site but it seems to be up to the person reviewing the documents!

Good luck!

No, apostille is not up to the discretion of the reviewer.  Apostille seal is explicitly listed in the DOS requirements for police certificates from Panama.  No such requirement for police certificates from Honduras.

Ah yes I see, thanks for clarifying that.

Though we did decide to apostille either way as we have heard from others getting RFI for it specifically other people submitting to Honduras.
