Interesting I-130 Expedite Response

After about a month following my expedite request and then filling an inquiry about the result, I just received this response... Basically not an approval nor a denial but a... Maybe lol. Just sharing in case someone else has either received or soon receives the same message. Very helpful indeed 🙄

It's not a maybe, it's a no. It clearly states that the part of the process the expedite would help (getting your case assigned to an officer) has already happened. The rest of the process cannot be expedited.

They should write those notices in plain English.

Yea, lol, I know. That's just a lil sarcastic humor to go along with the very informative message. It kind of sucks though because, if it is with an officer right now... then they're going off of the AR1 that I received a few days after I submitted. That technically means that anybody that has gotten an AR1 already can't file an expedite. The least they could have done was tell me at what point in the process I'm at... Like the background check, document review, etc.

To be fair, if this was legalese, there would definitely be at least one "pursuant" in there, and likely a "therefore" or "herein" just for giggles. 

 

USCIS is king at writing 2 paragraphs that say absolutely nothing of substance though, that's for sure.
