Help needed removing a joint sponsor

I added a joint sponsor when it should have been a household member. I sent an inquiry to NVC to remove the joint sponsor and I was replied with the following email.CD9EF16D-57C9-4A94-8A1C-08E415FED30C.thumb.jpeg.6a7051df42b13c7c64b39539df9a2198.jpeg

If I press the Add Joint Sponsor there is nowhere for me to upload the letter or statement to remove the current joint sponsor. Should I go to the documents page for the sponsor that I want to remove and upload it and submit it trough there? Instead of pressing the add joint sponsor button? I am confused. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

2) Click Add Joint Sponsor

3) Click Add a Document.

Is the "Add a Document" button available?

No it’s not available the only thing it ask for is a i864 and citizenship and it’s having me input a name and birthday like I’m adding another sponsor but I want to remove it so I can add it as a household member. I can press on the joint sponsor’s name and add the document trough there but I’m not sure if that’s what I’m supposed to do.

Per the instruction, add a document there:  a letter requesting to remove the joint sponsor.  State he/she was added in error.

So I should put the document where they are requesting the i864? Wouldn’t that add another unwanted joint sponsor?IMG_4879.thumb.jpg.664e45ef2cda1dfcad5a14b0b285cff6.jpg

I should upload it there? I just don’t want to make the mess bigger. Since it’s basically asking me to add another sponsor.

It looks like you haven't added a joint sponsor per se. "In order to process your request"--meaning that the request has not been processed and will not be processed until you provide the below information (name, DOB, documents).

I already added a joint sponsor, I want to remove said sponsor to add it as a household member. If you see my first post you will see the instructions I received from NVC. When I try their method it doesn’t let me add any files. That’s why I asked if I should go to the documents page for the joint sponsor and submit the removal letter trough there.

I believe NVC is referring to a situation where someone has already submitted all the requested information as seen in your screenshot in which a joint sponsor has actually been added and approved. But since you haven't completed those steps yet, you haven't actually added a joint sponsor and therefore you don't see the 'Add a Document' option.

I do have a joint sponsor approved by NVC the person I added should have been a household member and I want to delete the joint sponsor to add as a household member. When I sent an inquiry to NVC this is the answer they gave me CD9EF16D-57C9-4A94-8A1C-08E415FED30C.thumb.jpeg.6a7051df42b13c7c64b39539df9a2198.jpeg

but under affidavit of support if you click the add joint sponsor or add household member it doesn’t let you add documents except the i864. The only way I can add a document to the joint sponsor is going to the documents tab and selecting the joint sponsor and add documents trough there. I am not sure if that’s what NVC is referring to because their instructions are a little confusing.

Here’s an example I found where the Add a Document should be if you’ve already successfully added a joint sponsor.

I do have that option but NVC says in their email to click on add joint sponsor? That’s why I was confused. I should go trough the actual documents page and upload trough there.

Sorry. This is an example of where it should be for sponsors.

I see what you mean now. I think the screenshot is what they’re actually referring to though.

Yes that last screenshot is the option I have at the bottom is that where I should upload the letter requesting the removal of the joint sponsor? In their instructions they are telling me to click on add joint sponsor and submit the letter trough there but I have no option of submitting the letter trough there the only option I have is the one on your screenshot.
