I would really hope and pray that isn't our situation cause that's insane! The website clearly states that they can't hold your passport after 60 days when it's in AP

but they do

they have kept for passports for months and over a year

if u ask to get it back,  u can trigger a new security check to see why u needed it and what countries u visited

u may want to travel to see each other and perhaps think UE is ok as not high fraud but the CO would need to run checks to make sure u didn't go from UE to a country that shows on their list as terrorist's training .   Everything we do is suspect to a CO

I would just ignore that.  They know you have had your interview, and that message has no meaning.  You may see it change to READY and even REFUSED again, before ISSUED.

u need to relax

u have to understand all go thru AP even if its just time to print the visa

I gave u the worst possible senerious but when its over and he's here, the time will start going fast

Do things now to keep yourself busy

stop fretting over embassy and immigration

When u talk to each other,  skip embassy and AP talk,  keep both your spirits up.Remember he is very disappointed and needs lot of encouagement .

Get the romance back into your conversation

i never let Adil know that i cried over this process.

With all due respect please don't tell me to relax this is a platform where we are allowed to ask questions and vent correct? You don't know my situation It's been a long 2 and a half years we're in this back and forth confusing process and I am relaxed I'm just frustrated, to say the least.  I am very busy with work, school, and my children.  I'm human I get frustrated I'm allowed to.  My husband and I romance is just fine we're in a great space.  So please if you're going to be rude I'll rather that you don't say anything at all......Keep your advice respectfully

For us it was “refused” for 1 year and then finally switched to “AP” and then “Issued”. Took us total of three years to get the visa.

Good afternoon

My husband went for his interview last week he was prepared and had everything they asked for plus more. He got to the interview bright and early. The consular asked him around 5-6 questions but she was tricky and kept repeating back his answer but twisting what he said, nevertheless he said he was on his P's & Q's and he answered everything correctly.  She gave him a white paper and on the bottom, she wrote Administrative Processing.  He said he asked her politely if there was anything that was missing she stated no he had everything she needed and they will let him know his status.  She then took his passport and gave him the paper.  Since then we haven't heard anything the status of the visa was refused for a week then it was changed to Administrative Processing last week.  We are so confused and lost because we don't know what's happening.  Can anyone tell me what's going on? We waited over 2yrs just to get to this point now we're in Limbo.  We're very frustrated, to say the least mentally and emotionally exhausted! Has this happened to anyone before? It's going on 2 wks and we still don't know if he was approved or denied 😰

This was exactly what happened to my wife and the kids, they’re tricky and keep twisting her answers, the CO collected their passports and put them on administrative process, they had their interview on March 28 and we are still waiting to hear from them, I’m ready to move back to Nigeria if the visa delay more than expected, my kids growing without me is tormenting and stay alone here without my wife is turf, just hanging there and let’s keep encourage each other
