We have also sent an email to NVCResearch@state.gov and they replied:

"The National Visa Center (NVC) recently received your immigrant visa petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Your petition is now waiting for data entry into our systems."

They didn't say much, when or how long will it take to get a case number. But at least it's there and I don't have to worry about it. How long till they get it in the system, I honestly have no idea but I will give them 10 days.

Good to hear. At least you have the case number and are one step closer.

Similar issue here. Does your embassy have a backlog? Mine doesn't but they still haven't sent it yet regardless.

Talked to my embassy today but all they could tell me is that my case is still at the NVC (which I already knew 😅)

Edit: Oh I just realized your case was most likely entered after the last shipping date so there should be no need to worry. Hopefully we all get lucky next week when the next batch is sent out.

Fingers crossed we do!

I think the chances of a backlog are very low, as there is less than 1 k1 visa issued per year at our embassy. Seems like nobody but my fiancé wants to leave Switzerland

Definitely something to be grateful for! Hoping we all get across the finish line sooner rather than later

You can only check if CEAC tracker "Ready" with the case number right? When and how did you receive your case number?

Thanks for the Facebook page. I'll join!

Yes, you can’t use the tracker unless you have a code to input.

I received my case number on June 20th, it was included in the email letting me know that my case had been shipped to the embassy.

I was instructred to go to "https://ceac.state.gov/IV" to check the status. But, it asks me to enter the invoice ID provided by NVC. How did you receive that?

It looks like that sudden increase in UCSIC sending approvals to NVC is causing a delay at NVC now. In the last 3 weeks their NVC case file creation timeline only moved 3 days forward.

Two weeks ago: As of 20-Jun-23, we are working on cases that were received from USCIS on 5-Jun-23

Last Week: As of 26-Jun-23, we are working on cases that were received from USCIS on 5-Jun-23

Today: As of 3-Jul-23, we are working on cases that were received from USCIS on 8-Jun-23

Finally 'In Transit'. I got a message form NVC that my case was being transfer to beneficiary's US embassy. Transfer is suppose to be on July 4th and 5th since 4th is a holiday. I think they mailed the case today on July 3rd.

My case is also “In Transit” this morning. Do you know how long it will take for the embassy to receive the petition? Also, i think the embassy will send us the Welcome letter in parallel.

This is just an estimate but going through some timeline of others in facebook and VJ. It will probably take on average a week to be received by consulate. In some case it literally took 2-3 days. Finger Crossed 🤞
