My fiancee just finished her interview at the Mumbai embassy. You have to show the Appointment letter confirmation for medical. Not the welcome letter. When you booked the biometrics and interview, it gave you a confirmation email. That email shows the dates for both, a barcode of your DS-160, and instructions of what to bring to both appointments. This is what my fiancee showed at the medical appointment.

This is great info. Thanks. My next steps are scheduling these things and i was curious what had to be done first.

I contacted the medical place again and they declined to schedule an appointment until I can give them instruction letter from Mumbai Consulate (packet 4 instructions) which I do not have.

I'm not sure why that is happening. We scheduled with the hospital listed in Delhi. All they needed was a welcome letter and appointment confirmation.

So did you receive any packet 4 from Mumbai with instructions or i129f packet?

No. All I received was a welcome letter (email). Then I followed the instructions on the Mumbai embassy website for K1 visa. Booked my biometric and interview appointments. I then used the confirmation email of those appointments and the welcome letter email to book medical at the Delhi hospital that they listed. I received nothing else from the embassy. You should just go to the hospital and try and book it there. The person on the phone appears to be confused by the different visa types and requirements.

In another thread what I read was, Mumbai hospital needs an appointment letter, but not Delhi hospital.

You had PCC well before this Biometric and interview schedule or got it after getting an appointment?

Has the status changed to "Issued"?

@Crazy Cat Where do I find this?  I think they said it would officially be approved sometime today and I should get an email.

@Crazy Cat I just checked.  It shows as approved, but it should take a day or two for it to show as issued I would think.

Are you looking at the USCIS status or the CEAC status?
