Collected some data from another forum for Mumbai. Mumbai has been doing a lot better than many other places. Even so, the wait is dreadful.

So am I reading it right, that's it's about 60 days from DQ to interview date? If so, that's excellent, probably about the quickest you'll get anywhere (similar to London). People in other places are having to wait a year or even longer for an interview.

Right. It is about 70 days. The US Mission in India has been working very hard to recover from the pandemic. I am quite astonished with their commendable progress. Things may be a bit slower for me by two weeks or so because of the F-1 student rush in the next few months. Even so, I consider myself quite fortunate in this regard. Mumbai has been balancing the workload for IR, FB, and EB cases to improve all of them. Unlike say Montreal, which in my opinion is doing a horrendous job dealing with the backlog.

70 days is great, sounds like it's like London and has got back to pre-pandemic service levels. As you say, other places like Montreal or Islamabad have huge backlogs still.

Hopefully we'll both be interviewing at about the same time. 🤞

@whitewizard Which post did you get this data from? I am thinking of changing consulates, so want to ensure that EB1 in Mumbai is within 60-70 days of DQ. Thanks.

Congrats on moving forward to an interview! I'm still hoping for some progress in these next bulletins 🙏

Can anyone answer one thing I'm wondering? At the interview for an EB2, is the visa "yours to lose" so to speak? As in, the embassy officer is verifying the documents are correct, you are who you say you are, and that your NIW endeavor is the same as you sent to USCIS with your I140. Or, is the officer questioning the endeavor itself and you have to prove it is still valid and worthy of a NIW? Does anyone know?

Thanks
