Wouldn't they have informed us if they planned to keep our passports until October 1st? On September 6th, after our interview in London, they told us that our green card  was approved and that we would receive our passports back within 1-2 weeks @appleblossom.

As per the link I posted above EB2 became unavailable on the 09 Sept, so you should be ok, you were approved 3 days before that.

As above, you were just before the quota was reached. But what does your status say? If it says 'issued' then you've got the visa.

@appleblossom Thank you. Our status has been "Administrative Processing" since yesterday.

Ah. That may mean a visa hasn't been issued to you before the cut off as you weren't approved before the 9th. But all you can do is keep an eye on the status and see if it changes to approved/issued, good luck.

For those in a similar situation, we had our Green Card interview last Friday, and our case was approved. Today, the online status changed to 'issued.' It seems that if your interview was before the quotas were reached and your case was approved at that time, you should be in the clear."

I was interviewed last Friday. They told me I was qualified, just need to email them when the visa bulletin is released, then they will organise sending back my passport, and it will be issued October 1st.

Got it. They told me I didn't need to leave my passport. Not sure why.

Hi All,

I made an expedite request to NVC for visa interview and i received this message, please what does it mean?

“The correspondence submitted is currently under review. An appropriate action will be taken once this review is completed.

This petition is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. You will be notified with further instructions when the processing is complete.“

Why is my petition undergoing administrative processing with NVC before interview?

Does anyone have a similar experience?  I am proccesing EB2 and my consulate is Frankfurt.

Hello Everyone. We had finished our interview last Friday and they kept our passport but till date online status is showing "Ready". Is it normal because i heard that they take 3-4 days max to return passport. Please give your thoughts. thank you

If this is London it's probably because they're not issuing them until October 1st.
