@appleblossom any idea on when ILs might come this month for EB category? I've seen many other visa categories received them already this month.

Could be anytime, or not at all. There’s a chance they’ll be prioritising DV interviews before the deadline, and EB applicants will always be behind spousal applicants etc.

Or it may be that they’ll send them out later this month - later in the month is quite normal, it always used to be within a few days of month end.

No way of knowing I’m afraid, but good luck, hope you hear soon. Please do fill in your timeline to help other EB applicants.

EB applicants are Tier 4, spousal are Tier 1. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/visas-news-archive/immigrant-visa-prioritization.html

The tricky thing for London is that this is the first time that UK applicants have ever been eligible for the DV lottery, so they’re having to factor those applications in for the first time, with a hard deadline. Summer usually has a bit of a slow down anyway, with student visas etc, but the DV interview may make it worse.

Or IL’s may come out tomorrow, who knows?!  It’s all just a guessing game tbh.

Did you not get an email? You should have done - check your junk folder if you haven't already?

Finally got a DQ email over a week after they had already responded to my inquiry confirming I had been DQ'd.

Anyone waiting for IL at Brussels embassy.

Category: EB1A
DQ: January 2024
PD: May 2018
Waiting for interview letter.....

I can't find my chat with the guy anymore, but someone told me he emailed the embassy to let them know he had done his medicals and has been DQ's and they scheduled him for an interview within a week. Apparently you have to reach out to the consulate to tell them you are ready for an interview and then they request your file from the NVC.

@HillBFirst of all, thank you for your response. It has been frustrating waiting for IL for the last six months. I emailed the NVC twice and also contacted the embassy, but they are giving me templated answers, saying that the NVC will schedule the date, while the NVC says that the Brussels embassy will schedule the date. I can try again, but I don't think they will arrange my interview. If you have any contact details, please share them. Many thanks in advance.

Apologies, finally found the chat. This was Sweden not Brussels.

Was it definitely an immigrant visa? Not a K1? If so I think it was just coincidence, as it’s NVC that schedules the interviews for IV’s.

It was an EB1-A.
