For the consular interview for EB1a, do we have to print all the proofs we sent during the i140 submissions, not the degrees but the stuffs like the papers we published, the citations we got, the media mention etc? all my letters of recommendation were pdf form, should i print and bring those too?

No. When you get your IL it’ll have a document checklist.

Please fill in your timeline to ‘pay it forward’ and help others! Thx.

Hi. Are you interviewing in Johannesburg? What day do they send IL. Also what’s the estimate days from DQ to IL, or after PD becoming current. I will be current from April

Can someone please confirm that for EB cases there is no option to upload Civil Documents on CEAC and the ONLY option is to physically mail the documents to NVC?

Received this document cover sheet in NVC welcome letter. Can you please let me know if any Signed Affidavit of Support documents are required for EB1C category?

Yes, mailing only. Your letter should tell you to mail it and have the address to send the docs to.

And no, no AoS required. Most of that isn’t relevant to EB applicants. You’ll need a recent job offer letter from your employer at interview stage.

PLEASE fill in your timeline! This forum only works if we all take the time to contribute, filling in your timeline is an easy way to help others going forwards and to thank those that have helped you in the past too.

@appleblossom I'm guessing that offer letter is only required for EB1-C applicants and not for EB1A? I've my interview on Monday & I don't have any offer letter. The CO didn't ask for one either when we went for doc check.

Yes, EB1A doesn’t need a job offer, it’s self petitioned. EB1C is different as it’s employer based.

Hi All. My EB2NIW PD of May 2023 will be current next month. How long does it takes to get IL at Johannesburg, should I expect IL in April? Also how many weeks from IL to interview

Thank you.

I think SA isn’t too long, you can search timelines on the forum though (filter it by that consulate). Please complete your own timeline to ‘pay it forward’ and reciprocate for others, thanks.

1-1.5 month from DQ to IL
6-8 weeks from IL to IV

However, some people had to wait 4-6 months to get IL too.

I am travelling, and tried updating the timeline but was having some issues. I will retry it once I am home in a week. Thanks.
