Hi,

I just got approved on EB1 and haven't got DQed yet. I was looking to see what the timeframe was for me to get an interview appointment?

Varies hugely depending on consulate - can be as little as 2 months, or as much as 3 years. So where will you be interviewing? Sydney or are you living/working somewhere else?

Hi I am from Sydney (working and living).
I also had this in mind: can the time frame be different for the EB1 given the fact that the number of visas per year is limited for each category.
for example, if the number of K1 and CR1 visas per year allocated for the Sydney consulate is different than EB1 category and fewer EB1 people are looking for interviews, can this affect the interview timeframe?
Do you think moving to the Melbourne consulate would help?

Melbourne doesn’t do IV’s, Sydney is your only option. And there’s no limit on the number of immediate relative visas (spouse, parents etc) that can be issued each year.

Sydney isn’t one of the worst consulates though, so hopefully it won’t be too long.

Good luck.

When was your PD? Assume you are EB2?

Top tip: hit the 'Timeline' on somebody's posts to see their details - if they've completed them of course. Please fill yours in as well, the more EB timelines we have the better, thank you.

Yes, EB2 my PD 20-Jan-2023

However my understanding is that after you are current the PD is irrelevant, only the DQ date is considered.

Again if you receive anything please let us know!

I will do! Wow that's a long time. I was under the impression London ILs were expected to come 1-2 months after DQ!

Only if the PD is current - and it hasn't been for @dabursot2. So PD and category is very relevant as well as the DQ date.

My PD just became current this month, London is a relatively quick post so I am definitely expecting an IL this month.

Hopefully it will be this month, but if you only became current yesterday then just to set expectations, it could arrive next month. Fingers crossed for July for you though…….🤞

Do the ILs come out at the same time each month does anyone know?

Usually the end of the month, but they can be anytime, particularly at this time of year when they have additional NIV interviews and DV interviews to schedule. So just keep an eye on your email (including junk folder).

Good luck.
