Processing time change?

I am waiting on processing from the Nebraska service center for the I-130 and the timer was down to 5 months.  My friend also got married recently and his was down to 3 months.

As of today, mine says 8 months and his says 6 months.

Has anyone seen this happen?  I see that on the chart it says applications from August 24, 2022 are being processed but his was submitted on July 9th, 2022.

Please do yourself a favor and ignore this number.  While it may be more accurate now, it has just served as a source of frustration for everyone that anxiously watches it tick down.

Like others have said, it's best to ignore this number. It doesn't really mean anything.

I have heard a few people say that it is more accurate now. Out of interest, why do you think it is more accurate? I am not sure if I have just missed some info somewhere. I was under the assumption the data in the algorithms used to estimate the processing time had been updated (following the overall increase in processing times in the last 6 months that has now updated on their website) and therefore they'd be just as useless at estimating timelines as they were previously.

Yeah, I still wouldn't use it as a guideline for anything, but the numbers I'm seeing (12-14 months for I-130) are way closer to the average timeline than the previous estimate.  Will continue to be a pain point for people, I fear.
