In the continuing saga of the apparently missing biometrics (to complete AOS) ... #######??? :help:

 Another reply from Mr. Chen:

RE: Case # MSCXXXXXXXXX

Date: Tue, 24 Jul 2007 15:43:38 -0700

From: "CSC XII 485" <CSC-XII.485@dhs.gov>

To: Me

A check of our records show that there is no Mr. S’s biometrics data in California Service Center system. Mr. S must go to the ASC when he receives the appointment notice to have his biometrics captured. Otherwise, his I-551 cannot be produced. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Officer C. Chen

California Service Center

USCIS/DHS

Please see below for my reply: I don't know what else to do from here....

After receiving your last email, Mr. Chen, we made an infopass appointment w/ the ASC to follow up on his biometrics. We showed our receipt and the officers there informed us that Mr. S's biometrics had indeed been completed and sent to your office. If you do not have the information on record, how can we provide it to you again? The ASC here has verified that it has been completed and sent.

Thank you for any information you could provide us with.

Sincerely,

Me

Speak about confusion....

What about CSC calls your ASC directly...loll Is it so hard for them to C-O-M-M-U-N-I-C-A-T-E :secret:

Hope it gets all sorted out for you and your husband. USCIS really doesnt make any sense in this case.

I'm just wondering when was the bio appt?

They were done March 8, 2007.

 I'm wondering.... biometrics were done before the transfer - is it at all possible that MSC has the biometrics? It doesn't make sense b/c EAD & AP were both approved thru CSC after biometrics were done.

Why dont you just have them redone.....

Kez

is it possible to *request* a 2nd set of biometrics... specially if they don't send us an appt for them?

They also said that in the last email from almost 1 month ago - still no appt letter. We made an infopass appt after the last email. I'm not counting no any appointment letter from them anytime soon.

Have you gone to the ASC to ensure that the correct receipt number was put on the file they sent?

yes, we did that on July 12. my other thread regarding this matter goes into detail about how not only were they unhelpful (big surprise), but that they were downright RUDE! see here if you're interested:

It astounds me - the lack of consistency in the USCIS system!

I'm sorry for your wait, Cris... we've certainly been through that part. At least he is here w/ me now and we are merely waiting out permanent residence status. It's just frustrating b/c we've given them what they are requesting, they just don't seem to have it..... :bonk:

hello all - just thought I'd post an update on what's going on here... not that I know much more! But, I did email a senator for assistance and we've received both a hard copy reply as well as an email stating they were on the case and making in inquiry on our behalf. Today, we received this update (again, it's not much, but something's happening, I guess) :

Below is the response our office received from the California Service Center in response to our inquiry on behalf of your husband, Mr. S. As you will note, the Congressional Liaison will review his case and report back to our office – hopefully we will hear back from them within the 30-45 days, if not sooner.

Should you need any assistance in the interim, please let us know.

Thank you,

S.L.
