N400 application filling and children

Hello Everyone, 

I am a PR for 8 years. Me and wife have no children together however I have a step child. my wife and I are separated and pending divorce.(filling under 5 year rule)  I have 2 daughters now, 1 a USC and another I would like to later on petition for.  In the children segment of N400 application what is ideal for me to write?

You need to list all your children, biological and adopted.

My understanding is, you have to list the step child, if she's legally adopted by you.

 

Does she live with you?

List all 3 children. 
 

Include divorce filing in evidence.

no she does not, she lives with the grandmother.

Nope, the stepchild needs to be listed even if not legally adopted. Only difference is, they won't have to provide their BC.

There's two schools of thought. There's no definitive answer. Both have pros and cons. You pick the one you're most comfortable with.

Last year an ISO gave an AMA on reddit and said newer ISOs prefer online. 
 

Given high employee turnover at USCIS, online is statistically going to be a better experience.

 

Online is full of glitches though. Since you have been an LPR for 8 years, you are surely immune from biggest glitch: people filing online 90 days before their 3/5 year anniversary when the USCIS computer’s real time clock is wrong.
