Administrative Processing, No document needed with white slip

Hello all,

USCIS approved all immigrant documents and sent document to NVC

Visa conducted in an USA Embassy overseas for immigrant visa.

Now, consular informed that now your case is in 221g Administrative Processing and no document requested and given white Paper slip

    What should we expect now?.

How long should I wait before contacting someone about this case?

    Who should I contact first?.

What does 221g white slip and no document usually means and how long does it usually take to finish those kind of AP?

Thanks

They may have to verify some documents ? Do you have interview in person? If yes do they keep the passport ?  all depends on consulate if everything ok then you good . Good luck and just wait at list 2 weeks.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, we had interview in person at the USA embassy overseas and Consular returned the passport and informed me that your case will be in administrative processing and provided me an 221g white slip

My dad had ir5 interview in Montreal and was verbally approved. Officer said 2 weeks for visa to retirn and kept his passport. It's been 4 weeks and nothing (status still Ready). I emailed embassy and they said case is in administrative processing and to wait.

What does this mean? No slip was given at interview. Just verbal approval.

I have the same situation but for my husband's ir1 in Islamabad. He got CO's approval, no 221g form and they took his passport and said you will get it back in 2 to 4 weeks. It's now been 7 weeks and we still don't have it back. I don't know what timeline to expect 🥲

Embassy is really busy nowadays as we all know. If CO approved and you dont have any issue with the documents you will get answer soon. Good luck. Just be patience
