Should I do this online or mail physical copies?

Depends on your preferences.  Each filing method has its own pros/cons.

Online filing --

  • Get almost-immediate receipt notice
  • You have control over how your evidence is digitally recorded
  • Web form could be glitchy, confusing, or have incomplete instructions

Paper filing --

  • No need to deal with the quirks of the web form
  • No file size limit for the evidence you want to submit
  • Could get lost in the mail or some documents could get lost at USCIS

Web form IS glitch, confusing, AND has incomplete instructions.

Using Priority Mail, things are rarely lost.  Put passport photos in ziplock bags and staple bag to full sheet of paper, and it's very difficult to "lose" anything.

My wife and I married 2/9/23 in Bangkok and I'm now back home in America and ready to start the cr1 process. I have a question before I start. Should I do this online or mail physical copies?

Thanks

Just use paper you can check back fill up carefully and submit also each evidence ie: your wedding photo, marriage certificate, etc and all of it mail it using priority mail with receipt sign provide by USPS it should be no problem. I have done it with petition for my wife and never got lost in the mail, Good luck man! Just also be put in mind CR1 process could take bet 18 month-24 months because every case is varies. Also if your marriage certificate and all the paper work not in English make sure you translate that approved by US embassy in Bangkok because that where the interview will take place for your wife later on.
