Will using two clips for one application be an issue?

Hi all!

We are about to ship of the I-751 packet today, I have one last question that is probably the result of me overthinking it but still.

Our packet ended up being very thick as you can see in the image below so we had to use two jumbo clips to hold everything together and then we used a big rubber band to keep the two parts together.

Will USCIS look at this and think they're not part of the same application since they're separate or should the rubberband keeping them together be enough?  Would it make sense to add a paper on top of the second part clarifying that it's the continuation of the evidence?

Wait...what? This is just I-751? What did you put in there? 😳

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

I think this is normal these days. Evidence takes a lot of space. Long gone those days of 20-30 page I-751 petitions that got accepted and approved. The bar for I-751 is pretty high these days, especially if one wants to avoid RFE and / or interview.

Yep! We're including all our bank statements which is why it's so thick. Not worth risking an RFE because they end up wanting more 😬

if ur box fit well with the document ( not much extra space). i will take out the clip, and just use rubber band to hold together.

I think we're gonna do that. It fits pretty snug in the envelope so might as well not risk it!

I've read of some people doing all of them as well due to an increase in RFEs. Probably depends on who is looking at your docs.

At the end of the day, I doubt it matters much if you only do quarterly or all of them, just gets more inconvenient to ship really so we might still consider only sending statements for every 3 months. We have a lot of other solid evidence so I don't think it'll be an issue.

I think it's a question of interpretation of I-751 instructions.

Here is the quote:

"Submit copies of as many documents as you can to establish this fact, to demonstrate the circumstances of the relationship from the date of the marriage to the present date;"

The way I read it, USCIS want literally as much as possible. If I can provide monthly, I would provide monthly over quarterly, including all pages for each statement. Also, they're asking from date of marriage, not from date of AOS approval etc that a lot of people tend to do. I don't see any downside of sending all statements. This is relevant evidence. It's not like I'm sending USCIS random stuff such as timetables for a bus I take to get to work.

Either way, people get approved with quarterly statements, people get denied with monthly statements.

It's a matter of luck and personal choice.

According to USCIS, they suggest not using binder clips:

I'd use a tight box and nothing else.

I think that's what we're gonna do. Thanks!!

Yeah, it's not required, we decided to include it since we've shared a bank account since the start of our marriage. Helpful to see what others included, our other evidence is pretty similar to what you listed!

If you look at one of my other threads a few posters in the thread (made a very detail list) of what they put in.  Initially, I was going to put the bare minimum until i saw that.
