Hi all, apologies if this question has been asked previously - I couldn't seem to find any information on it.

My fiancé and I are planning on getting married in June. She is a US citizen and I am a UK citizen. I will be on an ESTA. I was just wondering if there are any rules/recommendations about getting married and then me staying with her for a couple of months. I am not planning to stay permanently, but I have an opportunity to stay for a couple of months.

So my question is can we file the petition whilst I am there and can I then stay there for a couple months after filing? Or will I have to be in the UK to file the petition?

Thanks!!

You can come to USA, get married and leave before the 90 days. Whilst you are in the USA, you can gather all the documentation together and send it off.
I have a suggestion (and of course you dont have to do this), but would could do marriage online via Utah, meet in person sooner and then file if you want to start the process sooner. Either way, congratulations and good luck to you both :D
