I was very touched to read the bravey and determination from this young couple. So much so, that I have not been able to stop thinking of them. We all know how hard the visa proccess can be and the heartache it can bring to us all :crying: ,now if you read some of Fiona's and Andrew's website, you will see how much more difficult it is for them.

They are a young couple, who like the rest are of are entitled to some happiness. We at VJ are a loving lot (L) and I know Fiona and Andrew would welcome any donations. This thread was my idea, but I did ask permission from Fiona and Captain Ewok and they have both said it would be ok to do and ofcourse I am not a millionaire so I can't help them all on my own :)

Thanks everyone (F)

Fiona and Andrew's website is : http://www.sertichfamily.com/

and here is a picture of the beautiful couple (F)

They are indeed a very brave and sweet couple.

Their devotion to each other should be an example for all couples out there (if not for some of us) that don´t appreciate what one does for the other.

They´re always participative in this community and trying to help others, and they treat everyone with most respect.

I do hope all will work out for the best for you, Fiona and Andrew, and that you may be reunited soon. :)

I´ll check the website and do what I can to find a way to donate from Brasil. :)

Even for fully abled people with the stamina to work full time jobs and prospects of living past retirement, this 'visa-journey' is awfully rough, emotionally and financially. The wait can seem unbarable, every moment that passes is a moment we could've spent with our soul mate.

We all face and overcome challenges in life, and its not really fair to compare one struggle to another. That being said, and also not wanting to embarass Fiona and Andrew with silly "you are soo strong" statements... If anyone is deserving of support and best wishes, it has to be these two.

Andrew & I would like to pop in here and say a huge thank you for all your kind comments, website viewings and thank you to the two VJers who have donated through our website to help us (you know who you are, we don't want to shout out names without permission).. Every little makes a difference to us.... We've also had quite a few PMs in the last few hours which we're still replying to so if you sent a message we'll be replying soon, we aren't ignoring them.

Thanks to VJ we got this far and we'll keep going far...TY all from the bottom of our hearts.

Andrew & Fiona

Love hurts

When you live an ocean away

When you change your sleep schedule to catch a few more moments

When you really need to be held and you have to imagine whilst your partner describes it

When you constantly refresh the USCIS website to see if you're getting any closer

Love Loves

When it repays you with the love of your life

When God finally answered your biggest prayer

When you can live life again in the real world but still have that eternal connection

When you wake up for to the beginning of the rest of your life with the person you fought so hard for

When you love somebody that much

You'll do anything

Margy thank you for posting this

I really don't know what to say....Fiona and Andy have posted such kind words and support to me and others here at VJ.....I had no idea what they are facing and my troubles are very very small in comparision.

I am going to urge everyone here it VJ to try and help them....I know many here struggle with their own fee's....but how about selling something on ebay and donating the money, have a yard sale and donate the profits.

Do you know someone who works for an airline, drug company, phone service....contact them direct them to the website

We as a community here at VJ have the opportunuity to help this couple who have offered us all support and friendship during our journeys and never bemoan their own circumstances - here is our opportunity to give back.
