So .. I had my interview last Wednesday and was approved .. I had asked if the Visa would be sent out by Friday and I was told that it should be. I had a message when I got home that there was a signature that they forgot to get and the next morning a Miss Nault faxed it to me and I signed it and faxed it back (DS 156). She called me to let me know that it was received .. I asked her if the visa would definitely be sent out by Friday with the delay and she told me that yes it would be. I left a message for her yesterday and she didn't return my call.

***REMEMBER TO WRITE DOWN YOUR EXPRESSPOST TRACKING NUMBER!!!***

I didn't .. stupid stupid!!!

So I went to my empty house and waited and waited .. I left another message for Miss Nault at 11:30 advising that I needed the tracking number because I had my whole life packed into a Uhaul and had not received the visa.. no call back. I got through to customer service at 2pm and she told me that my visa was just put in the mail .. #######??? .. I asked her why just today when I was told Friday and she said something to the effect of well they have no control over how quickly the computer processes them .. ( ) .. then I asked it it would be given to the courier by 4:00 pm and she could not confirm it with me ( ) (which means that I may have to sit at my empty rental unit from 9 until 5 tomorrow and then again on Thursday if it doesn't show up) .. and then I asked her if she could give me the tracking number and she told me that she couldn't provide that information to me ( ) .. and then I thanked her and hung up fuming the whole time .. so .. here I sit in limbo at my sisters with my 9 year old son who is also upset that we couldn't leave .. and it's hard to make a 9 year old understand patience before his time .. with a sad heart because I was supposed to see my Ed tonight so he could give me the bear hug that I've been needing desperately these last couple of weeks :crying: ... where the he!! is that fast forward button!!!!

and PS .. I hate dealing with Government agencies .. how the he!! do those people sleep at night?

:o WOW ... That is just not cool. I ask my wife all the time about how these people can sleep at nights doing what they do and she says they are so used going about their jobs like business as usual. To them people like us are just information on a piece of paper (form)

Here's hoping that the visa comes in tomorrow.

Did you keep your copy of the slip from the xpresspost envelope. The tracking number is the at the bottom of it. It doesn't say tracking number but the postal lady pointed out that was the tracking number when I asked to write it down.

I usually sleep fairly well at night other than sometimes people frustrate the hell out of me. lol

Lynette, concerning patience, the expression is "patience my a$$ I'm going to kill someone" and I'm sure your and your son both feel that way. I hope Ed will compensate with the biggest and best hug of all times. I have been praying for a lot of people lately even you and now it will be for a different reason. Treat that little man of your with love and tenderness he doesn't fully understand others are in control.

My marriage based immigrant visa was approved last Friday by Montreal Consulate, officer was very nice & polite, asked few basic questions and that was it.. 5 mins ..I was out of the interview room with the general information paper they give to everyone on how to apply SS. I was told they will send out visa on Monday once they recieve clearance. As on date no Expresspost at my home nor any updates in CanadaPost website when I put tracking #. Can't enjoy until I see the visa stamp in my passport... still tensed..

Officer also took my Ring finger fingerprint, did anybody had that before? or its a new rule?

I have 9 months old daughter and wife waiting for me, haven't met them since last 6 months.

Good Luck to all here.
