Oh my - I can't believe how many things one has to consider when planning a wedding! Right now, I'm musing over what to engrave in our wedding rings. Something classic - date, name - or nicknames or something romantic or something funny ("Put it back on!") or a song title or or or.... hmmmm.

What did you do or what do you plan to do? I'm curious! :yes:

Well on mine it says "DITTO KIDDO" Because whenever I phoned my hubby at his base and tell him I loved him, He couldn't say "I Love You" back in case his commanding officer was standing by him, so he always said "Ditto Kiddo"

On His ring it says " THAT LUNAR WORD" because he has a habit of Mooning me whenever he has the chance , and friends and family know not to mention the word Moon or he will Moon them . So we call it "That Lunar word" if we're talking about the moon in the sky or whatever.

Feb. 8th 08 Sent in Packet to remove conditions

Feb 23rd 08 Recieve NOA letter stating they are extending my Greencard for another year.

March 11th 08 biometrics appt.

May 29th 08 recieved email stating Card production ordered

June 7th 2008 10 yr card recieved.

Btw, our rings are the traditional gold bands that we use in Brasil, you get engaged with it, and marriage day get it polished (to shine like new!) and switch hands, so no stones, diamonds, etc on them.

They´re 18K, and both together weigh 13 grams.

Aaaawww... I love that one too!

We haven't made our final decision on rings yet, but we both tend to have simple bands without stones or other ornaments too.

Our says "Two hearts One soul" :luv:

Dave said once that he felt like we had two hears but only one soul because there was nothing he felt like he couldn't share with me.

We knew from the start that should be in our rings.

And our rings are almost like Luis&Laura's. They're a gold band that get polished on our wedding day, when we switch hands. Except that mine has a diamond on it.

10/26/2006- Consulate receives case (seriously, one month to receive the case?? BS!), and packet 3 that I sent even before they had received the case.

01/02/2007- Interview!!!!!!!!!!!!! Got a 221(g)

01/23/2007- Second Interview. VISA granted!!!

01/29/2007- VISA arrived.... no envelope though. I'm gonna contact them and see what happened this time!

01/31/2007- I'll have to send them one last financial support evidence.

02/01/2007- Evidence sent

02/02/2007- Evidence received by Consulate

02/06/2007- Consulate sends envelope!

02/07/2007- Envelope received!!!

02/10/2007- Flew to the USA!!!!!!

04/17/2007- Wedding day!!!

hubby picked out the rings but I gave him an idea what I wanted... his ring it just a white gold band and he had my name engraved on his (L) .... there wasn't really room to engrave anything on my wedding ring... my ring is white gold too... with two gold bands and a couple of diamonds inbetween...

His says : Massouna 12.28.03 (the day of our religious ceremony)

Mine says : Ali and when we comes to the US and we have our reception it will say that date on it.

The two dates are soo special to us so we each have a different date .. because we are having two weddings. He got the first date becase that wedding was in his country .. I will get the second date because that wedding will be in my country :P

Reunited and it feels so good ....
