Normal.  All cases go through administrative processing.  Some cases take longer than others.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Thank You.

I realise each case is different but does anyone have any recent hands on, processing times in London?

Thanks

You asked if this is normal.  It is.  The fact that they kept your passport is favorable. Good luck.

As per my last post I am asking if anyone has any recent / hands on / personal experience of there wait time

Anyone been through this process in London within the last 2 months?

The problem is that AP covers a huge range of things. Everybody goes through it but it could be them printing the visa and putting it in your passport (which is the case for the majority of people, and is a few days) or lengthy background checks being needed (months/years).

My husband was refused under 221(g) because they wanted a second Dr visit.  The kept his passport at the London embassy.  Is this considered administrative processing? He went to the  second Dr visit on Mar 6, 2023 and passed.  The Dr sent this info to London on Mar 10 and it was reviewed Mar 18.  However, his status still shows as refused and hasn't updated since.  There are no gray areas as the second Dr visit was fine so idk why they won't process his British passport and allow him to come here.  Is it just too soon?  Any thoughts?

A second Doctor visit is not normal, very unusual.
