...less than 2 months of waiting you have not even earned the f**king right to complain
Perhaps not, but with the kind of resources our nation has there should be no excuse in it taking months or years to process family based immigration petitions for relatives of "US" citizens. I expect more from my government in this area.

Although I do prefer that Muy Solo make her voice heard to her political representatives rather than a public board.

Hey I agree this process should move faster. But please tell me why your are stirring the pot? Mark your Olga has a green card and already AOS'd. She will need to lift conditions later. Read Char's story or others that are separated and doing it legally. I am not needing waiver but I am still separated and respect the laws.

Everything I respond to is from personal knowledge, research or experience and I am in no means a lawyer or do I claim to be one. Everyone should read, research and be responsible for your own journey.

 YOU!
Since I have never made any analogies to myself in that name, I am curious as to the origin of your reference?

 yes you have Richard.

okay, let me get this straight....he husband was previously deported and planning on coming back illegally!!!...there is a hefty fine and a jail term plus a life long ban with no waiver possible if he happens to do this and gets caught

she filed the petition less than 2 months ago!!!!

I am one of many sittting here waiting...in my own case almost 3 f**king years from filing the petition and no end in sight yet, I have been screwed over by USCIS so many times it is long past being funny

and NEVER not once would I ever consider entering the country illegally

I am sorry Muy Solo if this sounds harsh, but after less than 2 months of waiting you have not even earned the f**king right to complain

Char

Char, I truly can't believe you are still waiting. This has got to be some kind of abuse-they can't be in the right messing with you all so much. Are there any avenues for retribution?

Don't let the sunshine spoil your rain...just stand up and COMPLAIN!

Guys my guy came here illegally in 99 but went back filed waiver and is now legal, but if something were to happend that he were banned for something like being deported just because he was legal then I tell you I would pay to bring him back. I dont agree that he doesnt have the right to be here just because hes from another country. Yes do the proper thing file papers and intent to do it legally but in the end if it hadnt worked ....... Especially for those out there who have children! how can you keep families apart for no other reason other than ewi. I dont agree they are criminals. The process is hard and lets face it most poor foreighners will never get here and the rich will@

I doubt she knew when she posted all that, that you never know who could possibly be reading this. Certainly never good to air illegal intentions in public, period.

I don't want to get into it, but they're really not the reason the process takes so long. By not getting a visa, they're actually freeing up a place in line. I think we should all remember who really makes this process long-the terrorists and those who commit visa fraud. Not the ones who just hop over. And although I agree with some of what you said, that statement about the criminal mind was a bit hurtful. I certainly don't regard my fiance as a criminal, because he's not. He simply broke the law once, which I do every single day by speeding, etc.

I don't mean this at all snarkily or anything, but in all seriousness, don't terrorists generally immigrate illegally? Or did you mean that because of heightened security in the US, the immigration process takes longer?

Again, I'm asking this in all seriousness, not to start anything. I'm not trying to slag all illegal immigrants either, just asking.

My recollection is that they had Student Visa's.

But in the majority of cases the security aspect is just a rather pathetic excuse.

For example in my own case:

VWP

Buy ticket, travel to US on the next flight out. I understand checks are run effectively whilst you are in the air.

K1

Wait a year, buy ticket, travel to the US.

So how is the later 'safer' than the former.

Plus of course any one with evil intent could just fly to Mexico and walk in. Only danger that way is being trampled in the rush.
