K1 Driving from Vancouver to US

I plan on driving down from Vancouver down to the US to enter with my K1 visa and I'm wondering can share their experiences with entering the US with a K1 visa through the land border? Specifically Peace Arch. Is there anything that I should be looking out for or preparing?

In addition, I plan on driving down with my car. Are there any immediate complications for my car? For example, will I have to fill out any forms or pay any additional fees at the border? Or can I worry about importing documents/fees once I've settled in the US.

My apologies if these questions have obvious answers that I can look up, this is a stressful process and I would like to hear more about everyone else's experiences!

Thank you thank you!

Google "import car from Canada to US".  Look for CBP website links.

It is better to make all preparations (emission and safety inspection/compliance) before your trip and handle the import at the border, but you are given some time to do it later.

There was a poster who had a hard time crossing in Buffalo, NY.  I can't find the post, but their case was a bit complicated.  Normally the entry process is routine.  They may ask you something about your fiance - where they live, where and when do you plan to get married, etc.  Be direct and do not jest.  There was a poster who replied "not sure, I might not want to marry", or similar, and CBP denied that person entry.  Normally CBP will remind you that you need to marry within 90 days per the terms of the K1, and send you on your way.

When entering with my visa, will I have to go into secondary or can I just go through the NEXUS lane? I have two dogs so I want to make things as smooth as possible for them!

Secondary.  They will need to check your paperwork (and your dogs' paperwork) and import your car.
