Hello everyone,

I have adjusted my status while in the USA on tourist visa.

Will uscis expedite my advance parole for immigration issues? I need to be in different country for few weeks to get my citizenship.

lol, no.  That is not an emergency.

Nothing has been adjusted yet.

You likely have at least another year before you get a GC interview.

I personally don’t see them expediting it for that. You are absolutely free to apply for advance parole… but just know that if you get it, it does not guarantee entry back into the united states. This is one of the downsides of adjusting status within the US… you can’t realistically travel until a green-card is approved.

It's not in USCIS's mandate to help you become a citizen of another country.  It's actually the complete opposite.

I don't think they will be very keen to grant you an expedite.

You will be subjected to extra scrutiny entering the US on AP, likely ending up in secondary screening every time but it is certainly realistic to travel on AP, after all that's what it's for. I was in and out well over 20 times while on AP, and other than one single experience with a foul-tempered officer giving me a hard time about going back and forth it worked just fine.

You are of course correct that you could theoretically be denied entry on AP, but that's not going to happen for a short trip. I would not go on a months-long trip while on AP though...

You're right, i just personally dont think it is worth the risk tbh. But it's everyones personal choice if they still choose to travel on AP :)
