Glad to see that I'm not alone! Did you happen to change your name? The only thing I can think of that might have delayed my application, compared to those who were approved quickly, is my request for a name change.

No name change for me. I contacted a couple of people from February who have been waiting longer than the others and we did not find any similarities in our cases. So I feel like it’s completely random 😄 the only conspiracy theory that we have discussed is that the ones who are waiting longer have their receipt numbers start at IOE94xxx. It may be just a coincidence though 🙃

hello. cell-phone and speeding (only speeding; not reckless driving) are infractions = citations = to be put in the form and you're correct on that.

I'm confused the judge reduced it from cell phone to a parking? That's odd. Where you parked when you had your phone in your hand?

But yes, i would probably write "speeding ticket (infraction) XX-XXXX (the code for the speeding)" / what was your disposition on this? found guilty? pre-paid?

I don’t know how it works I hired a lawyer and it was reduced from a cell phone use to -stopping, standing or parking in specified places 😬🤷‍♂️

I had to pay a fine for this violation.

do you think that means I can write “stop, parking” violation as it says it the disposition?

if „stop, parking“ is really the verbiage which was amended from „cell phone use“ then yes.
You may want to make sure on the courts website that that is really the amended charge. The courts website also should reflect what type of a charge it is. Do a name search on your courts website and verify how it’s been finalized in the system. That’s the secure step I personally would do as well.

When tomorrow starts without me..

please try to understand, That an Angel came and called

my name, and took me by the hand; The angel said my

place was ready, In Heaven far above, And that I'd have

to leave behind all those I dearly love. But when I walked

through Heaven's Gates, I felt so much at home, for God

looked down, smiled at me, And told me "Welcome Home."

So when tomorrow starts without me,

Don't think we're far apart, for every time you think of me,

I'm right there in your heart.

Mine does not start with IOE94. It is IOE98. So that theory cannot be true 🤣

Hello all,

I was awaiting i751 approval and also updates on my N400. On Monday 8/28 I saw that my i751 has been approved online, so I was waiting for the NOA in the mail. Meanwhile, my N400 hasn't changed. It still says "we are actively reviewing your case". No drama there.

However, I just received the NOA in the mail today, and I am really confused by what it says:

"We have approved your I751 Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence. Our records also indicate we have approved your Form N400, Application for Naturalization. Because we also approved your N400, you will not receive a new Permanent Resident Card (Green card). Instead, once you have taken the Oath of Allegiance, you will receive a Certificate of Naturalization, which will be proof of your US Citizenship."

Does this mean I don't have an interview? It goes straight to taking the oath?

I'm gonna have to say this is a mistake - you have to pass the civics test to be approved, there is no way you can not have an interview. Make sure you don't already have an interview date checking online maybe. But even if you don't, hopefully is coming soon!

Do you have a 4 year extension on your conditional green card? They might really not send you a 10 year one with this mistake on their part...

Ufff, how is that even possible? I have never heard such.

I saw an update today in my online case status, and there's another NOA coming with the interview date being scheduled.

The language in the i751 approval NOA really confused me, but now it's all ironed out and I will have the interview for N400. Phew.

Yep, @jackiegringa you're right, there's no way to not have an interview! The letter was just confusing.

hello guys

Finally I received an update that my citizenship interview is scheduled on October 21. I am reviewing the notification letter, it says bring “Any evidence or selective service Registration”  among other things. Do you guys know what that is. I am male over 30 years old. Do I need to register myself for selective service?

Looks like today is a happy day for March filers :) I also received my interview notice today. Woohoo!

Sounds awesome. Did they happen to ask you to bring “Any evidence or selective service Registration” to the interview?

Yep, the interview notice lists “evidence of selective service registration” among the documents that are required. I am a female though so this is not applicable I guess.

I may be wrong, but a believe all male immigrants age 18-25 are required to register and provide proof at the interview.

I thought random checking only applies to male applicants. But it does not appear to be correct anymore 😛
