A medical exam is required before the interview. The US medical community has a better system for record keeping than a lot of other countries. My question is has anyone had the experience of going to the medical exam with few records on what vaccinations they have had over the years? If so what was the process to complete that part of the exam?

Thanks

Many countries have a centralized vaccination system, you might want to check if it is available in your country, and request your records.  Otherwise, one option is to request titer tests from your doctor. You can then bring the results to your medical exam.

Another option is to visit your family doctor or clinic and ask for your vaccination records to be reconstructed.

If reconstruction happens, get them to print 3 copies* on clinic letterhead and get them stamped.

*You'll be glad later that you got more than one copy

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

If they're unsure what you've had, you can just get them again. It won't cause any harm, just an expense.

Sadly missing vaccine records are not uncommon I'm finding

Foreignmiks other than the Titers test what test did they use to detect which vaccinations you already had?

I'm not entirely sure as it was my fiancee that had the exam. We simply elected to not receive missing vaccinations during our medical. Our application was approved at interview.

Thanks for the reply. The reason I ask is because I read that they will give you all the required ones but charge you more because they know you have to have their blessing with the medical.

The place that does the medial for London embassy has a price list for their vaccines, here they're about same price as private, some more, some less. See if you can find yours? Can maybe email them and request to if you want?

You can either get them before, if you can get any free may as well get em (doesn't matter if second time), get them at medical
or you can get them in US but lord knows what cost is there off insurance. You won't need them until adjustment of status I think? Don't think K1 requires any vaccinations, would just mean a second medical in US after you have vaccinations.

My fiance's mom had lost all of my fiance's vaccine records so she just took all of the vaccines again. No big deal when it comes to money as they were a lot cheaper than in the US. Also they checked her antibodies for chicken pox which showed that her antibodies were low so she had to take the vaccine. However when we looked at the prices we concluded that it would've been better to just take the vaccine right the way, so it is something for you to keep in mind, if they offer an antibody test just say you want the vaccine.

Good point.  When Mrs. T-B. arrived, she needed tetanus and one other.

We went to our County Health Department, arriving when they opened before it became a zoo.

Each booster was $10.

They even hand-wrote the new boosters on her existing record that she'd brought from Ecuador, and stamped it.

Thus, everything was updated on a single document.

Consider checking into this option.

Yeah I've lived in three countries, I'm unsure if I have ones on record from middle country but I've just been getting my UK ones added to my S. African ones. Just make sure you take a copy of your vaccinations for them to add to or put in one place! Sometimes they're a bit easy breezy about it and you need to specifically ask it get noted in your records. US does seem better at record keeping tho 😂

I just had a whole drama trying to get my COVID vaccination records cause apparently england -> scotland is a medical black hole

I believe you are correct. K1 is a nonimmigrant visa and I can only find vaccination requirements for Immigrant visas.
