Pay what fee sorry?

My DS260 I am.using a NY PO box i am renting monthly.  But I doubt a Greencard can be posted to it.

The green card fee. It won’t be sent until you’ve paid it, so just wait to pay until you have an address.

Thanks this is v. helpful,  I had no idea. I would have thought paying the green card fee is a requirement prior to leaving the UK.

Updated my timeline as best I could.

No, you can do it anytime including after entry. And thank you, much appreciated. 👍

Is it possible to update address even after the consular interview?

Also, how is the social security no provided and when?

Thanks!

Yes, of course. Either when you enter the US (as I did), or you can update online later if needed.

And it depends, did you tick the box on the DS-260 to ask for it to be sent to you automatically? If so you should have it within two weeks of entry (it will also go to the address provided though, so if you don’t have a rental by the time you enter the US, make sure it is ok for it to be sent to your PO box).

Yes I tick the box on the DS260 form.

Who can I ask if it's ok to send to my rented PO box? Sorry I am new to this and have no idea..

So did you give your rental address at the interview and then change to the hotel on entry?

Do you know if children are required to attend the interview in London? I have 4 kids under 10..

Thank you in advance!

I guess you’d need to ask the Social Security agency, unless you can find the info on their website. My guess is they won’t mail it to anything other than a physical address as it’s such an important document, but do double check.

And we just gave our rental address, as we were only in the hotel temporarily whilst we waited for our shipping container. Our SS cards were waiting for us in the house when we arrived.

No the kids won’t be required to attend, just you and any spouse. From the usual website - "Any family members immigrating with you, if they will be at least 14 years old on the day of the interview https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-10-prepare-for-the-interview/step-11-applicant-interview.html

Does the CO question Principal (me) and dependant (Mrs.) Or just me?

Thanks

You both are at the interview window. Most questions will be directed to you, I think my wife was asked one (and then of course the oath).

Good Day Sir,

I found your posts on your EB2 and Interview topic and read them with great interest.

If I read your timeline correctly, your Priority date is April 28, 2023? And you got your interview letter on February 24, 2025 as your priority date became current in the March 2025 bulletin. This would mean that you received your interview letter before March when you would have become current. You are also interviewing at the London embassy?

The reason I ask the above and would like to verify is that I am on a very similar timeline to you for the EB2. My priority date is May 31, 2023. And will become current in the upcoming April 2025 visa bulletin. I was hoping that if the above is correct, perhaps I will also receive my interview letter before the end of this month as we enter into April when I will become current.

I would really appreciate any insights you could give me.

Thank you so much!
