Hi all.. Please I need support and guidance. I just got my interview letter now. It seem I am nervous which was not there before. Maybe it is normal, not sure. I was a student in the UK when I applied for the EB2 NIW and got approved. In order to prepare for the journey ahead and also prepare for any uncertainty of 'what if', I mean having plan to get something reasonable in the UK, I enrolled on a clinical course programme which is due to be completely in Sept 2025. Can any one give me tips on how to prepare well for this interview? xx @appleblossom

You’re aware that your visa will only be valid for 6 months from the date of the medical?

Not sure what info you need to prepare, but everything you need to know about what to take is on the usual website (https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-10-prepare-for-the-interview.html) and lots of us have shared our interview experiences on the forum if you want to have a hunt. Mine was 2 questions, and super easy. Just take a book or something, I was there for hours, way after my allotted time slot as they were running late.

Good luck.

Everyone

I had my interview today. It took less than 15 minutes and it was smooth, underwhelming smooth haha. The CO asked four questions about my study, where I lived before and if started applying to Jobs; then she told me it was approved.

I spent two weeks prepping for scenarios and questions and had a second file full of documents that wasn't touched haha. Thanks for everyone in this thread for your support and help, especially @appleblossom, you were very helpful with queries

Congrats

Hi, EB-2 NIW (born UK London) PD 12th Jun 2023. DQ Nov 23.

I became current in the latest April 25 Visa Bulletin. When do you think I will receive IL?

Also is there a thread for interview Qs?

Thanks.

Once current you should get it pretty quickly, London is one of the fastest consulates.

There’s no thread that I’m aware of for interview questions but plenty of us have shared our experiences if you do a search - there’s a specific section on interviews reviews too on timelines/profiles. Please fill in your own timeline to help as well, thanks and good luck.

Congratulations for being current after a lengthy wait! When your IL arrives, please let us know so that it can encourage those of us who are still waiting. 😎

Is there a timescale, for example if I am current in the latest April25 bulletin do IL get sent before the next bulletin I.e. 4 weeks or is there no real pattern.

IL’s are sent out once a month usually. You may get yours in April, if not it will be May.

Again, please fill in your timeline! We can only help because of people that take the time to ‘pay it forward’ and help other  EB applicants that follow. Thx.

The timeliness has so many questions,  k mostly not applicable,  do i answer only those relevant to me.

Yes, just the bits relevant to immigrant visas, ignore the rest. Have a look at mine (or anybody else that’s filled theirs in) for a guide.

Thanks. 🙂

How did you know where to get your green card sent to? Did you rent a property in the US before your interview?

We did, yes. Had 10 days in a hotel then moved in to it. But if you’re not sure where you’ll be then it may be a better idea to just wait to pay the fee so it’s not sent to the wrong place.

What address did you put on the DS-260?
