As above, your DQ date isn't really relevant as you had to wait for a long time to be added to the queue - people who were only DQ'ed in December will have had IL's but only if their PD's were current.

So if you've only been current for 3 weeks but not had an IL, you'll be in the next batch. You are London I assume?

My visa category is EB2 and now am resident in UK .

Hi everyone,

Appreciate if someone please, based on their recent experience can give some basic tips on US embassy London inside steps and how we can best organize ourselves for Visa interview day in terms of documents etc.

  • Is it better and advisable to organize documents in a proper file with divider etc and we can handover the file itself or we need to handover these as & when asked about each specific one? Also, if the original docs are already handed over to a staff before heading to visa officer?
  • For any additional docs which were not part of those earlier submitted to NVC eg. any additional Work Experience or New Academic qualification, should we keep it with us and handed it over to visa officer while talking to him during interview about those things?
  • Can we carry our back pack with documents files to Embassy?

Any other helpful tips for interview day would be appreciated.

Thanks & kind regards,

You are asked to go up to a window, a few things are checked and you hand over your documents then sit back down to wait to be called for your actual interview. I only had a few documents though so it wouldn't have warranted a divider, I just had them in a clear plastic folder. They are very unlikely to take any new docs, they just want what is on the checklist. And yes, a backpack is fine as long as it's not too big.

Good luck.

Mine was about an hour? And even then most of that time was hanging around.

Hello , could you please tell when was your Dq ? And what date is your interview date ?
many thanks .

You asked above and s/he gave you the DQ date (April 2023 - PD wasn’t current until recently). Not sure on interview date though (@dolibash please update your timeline!). 😊
