Good day!

I need your advice and help I would like to know if I can visit my boyfriend in America using a tourist visa? I am currently working in the hospital and I am a nursing student at the same time due of my hectic schedule, I am wondering if I can visit him for the mean time instead of apply a K1 visa.

Thank you everyone.

Do you currently have a US tourist visa?  In what country do you reside?

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

You can try. I would try by entering the USA at Abu Dhabi so that you avoid the possibility of an expedited removal if you are denied. CBP has a pre-clearance station in Abu Dhabi.

If your ultimate intent is to get married and live in the U.S., just get married and go the cr-1 process. Or, better yet, assuming you aren’t Indian or Chinese, finish your nursing degree, get the U.S. certification for nursing, and enter the U.S. on an EB-3 immigration visa.

A K1 and tourist visa are 2 very different visas, so I am confused why you ask if you should visit instead of a K1? A K1 is for people who want to ultimately move to the US and a tourist visa is for visiting only.

Is your ultimate goal to immigrate? Then you need to look into the K1 or CR1. A tourist visa is not for immigrating

Thank you everyone.

K-1 is not for visiting, it is for adjusting status and living in the US.  You don't apply for it - your USC boyfriend would need to petition you for it.

If you want to visit, apply for a B visa.  You cannot use the B visa to enter the US and stay.

Big difference between a K-1 and a B2. Were you already planning a K-1? Are you planning to come with a B-2 and adjust status (which is visa fraud)? You left out all the details.
