Hi everyone! I am sponsoring my parents to come to the US and their interview has been set up for the end of the month in Sydney, Australia.

I just got a notice today indicating that Sydney Consulate is requesting Birth Certificate and police records. Also, on their website, you can't replace those documents like what you did during the process, I guess you'd have to upload it through the additional document section?

Has anyone encountered this before? Should I upload the document or just bring supporting evidence to the interview? Also we don't have those documents since they were originally born in China over 70 years ago. I wrote a letter to explain it and it was accepted as a part of DQ.

And incidentally - I know this is a question that gets asked a lot, but what supporting documents did you bring that worked for lack of Birth Certificate and police records? Records in China do not go that far back and they have not been Chinese citizens for many decades so can not go through the official process to get those documents.

Thank you for your help!
