~~Enough with the back and fourth. There are three pages derailing this thread and not actually answering the OP. Stick to answering the OP's question. Just maybe the OP will come back to this thread with more questions if you do not keep derailing.~~

Hi everyone I’m currently finalizing our K-1 application however I really don’t have any receipts to scan. I have provided boarding passes, bus tickets, flight itineraries, passport stamps, and photos of us together. Will this be enough? Just a bit stressed about it. I do have a couple of random receipts but nothing with our names.

I have yet to add the 2 receipts I do have as I feel they aren’t really helpful in any way without showing either of our names

The critical thing for the photos are to make sure you write a caption with the date and the location of the photo, and probably list the main people in the photo.

You can paste 2 photos per page on a document and add the captions.  4-6 high quality photos with the captions should be perfect.

The other critical requirement are the passport bio page and passport stamps. If you are including the passport for proof of citizenship, then that meets the passport stamps requirement, but make sure you  color photocopy every single page, including the blank pages.

The boarding passes are good too. I think adding other stuff is only necessary if the previous stuff above is not convincing for one reason or another or not included.

That just is Not true at all! The processing times for the K-1 and CR-1 are roughly the same.  Both have equal visitation privileges.  The CR-1 is the far faster route to a green Card.

I have seen many K-1 couples regret that they chose that route.  I have seen zero spousal visa couples who wish they had chosen a K-1 instead.  I see no different "break up numbers" in K-1 cases vs spousal visa cases.

My comparison is very realistic.  The Utah Zoom marriage option has made a K-1 much, much more inferior.

It's your decision....and your consequences.

I am currently in the K1 'limbo' process and I certainly do feel a little stress about anything going wrong with the i-485, be that a rejection or an RFE or just anything really.

The CR-1 is obviously the superior visa but I will say that I don't regret that we did the K1 because when we got married we got to 'start our life together'. I would hate to get married and then have to depart and live Long Distance.

Obviously though some people will have different opinions to this and that's fine, people must choose the option that's right for them.

It does also seem to me from browsing this site and /r/USCIS (and my own situation) that the EAD seems to be being approved really fast when adjusting status now.

Most all of you are much smarter thank I am about the immigration processes.

Many of us, including me, have come to this site for information, hope, research, next steps etc.

I do appreciate all the help - I am very grateful.

It is my opinion the evangelizing of the I-129f vs I-130 detracts from the credibility of the site and people wanting to ask more questions.

I am very hesitant to post this and it is only my opinion, and we all know what opinions are like... :D

Enjoy your weekend.

The OP asked  a question and the person should have been the one to say why they did K1 instead of CR1   /the other poster that started the disapproval of Crazy cat's message should have started his own thread,   then  we can stick to the posted subject and help each other as every member and every question is important

No one is evangelizing.

A discussion of the pros and cons of available visa rules is EXACTLY what people come to VJ for.

You may not appreciate the insight and experience of seasoned members here (who have been around long enough to have seen myriad processing trends), but many others do.
