NOA2 of 3/14.

I wonder why it is taking so long at NVC now?  Our 60 days is this Saturday.  I will send an email to the research dept at NVC to inquire.  I have sent an inquiry every week since day 30 with nothing but the generic "we don't have it yet" response.  I also see that some people with NOA2 in April are already getting their cases received.  What's up with that?

We have been doing the same. Infact we sent out an email to the research email I'd but no help. All they say is we have your form copy and we will contact USCIS to locate your approved petition. When we checked with USCis two days back , they still haven't sent out our petition. I have already completed 60 days as per my NOA2 receipt date (10th March) ... It's extremely disappointing the way they are working. Are you serious April NOA2's have started receiving their case numbers ???

Yeah, I saw two that had NOA2 dates in April that already have NVC received dates.

I sent my 2nd enquiry on 8th May and they replied today with the same response yet again. I sent my I-797 to them as requested in my first enquiry. I sent them the I-797 notice on the 3rd of May and was told on the 4th May that they would contact USCIS to see where my case is, but I've had no response since then.

Honestly feels like a sick joke that our cases are taking over 2 months to reach NVC when literally every timeline I saw previously only had about 4-6 weeks of waiting at most

I know, how long can this keep happening to us that everything is so much longer than the estimates and precedent? Our lives are just ticking away in limbo here.

Update for today from NVC on my latest inquiry:

Quote

"Thank you for your inquiry. Our records do not show that we received your petition.

It can take up to six weeks for an approved petition from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to arrive at the National Visa Center (NVC). Once we receive it, we will enter your petition into the U.S. Department of State's database systems."

NOA2 3/16/2023

I sent an e-mail to the research department again. But I think more than likely, I won't get an update until end of May at this point. It's so annoying. I share everyone else's frustration. We are all in this together:o

Hey all, if anyone is joining a March 2023 NOA2 to NVC to EMBASSY WhatsApp group, I created one and you can join using this link - https://chat.whatsapp.com/K4hyPhEWRkMILn0BVDyxKe

I figured having a support group with more frequent updates and discussions might help some members. I'll still be posting in this thread, but only for major updates, to avoid clutter. Everything else (NVC inquiries, small updates, etc.) will be in the WhatsApp group chat.

Everyone, I finally got some "goodish" news. I spoke to USCIS today and they told me that they just shipped out my application on May 12, 2023 and it should be arriving to NVC this week! They informed that shipping times is up to 60 days now (I know, crazy!).

If you want to put your mind at ease and not keep e-mailing NVC as many times as I have, here's the best method to get in touch with them:

  1. (800) 375-5283, when it asks what do you need help with, say "infopass" , this will get you to a live agent
  2. Then tell them your receipt number, name, date of birth and ask if they can give you an update if its been shipped or not to NVC
  3. Either its been shipped (good news) or hasn't been shipped (sad news), either way, you'll have a better understanding as to where your petition is and why you aren't getting any updates from NVC.

I hope this helps. Best of luck to everyone

Thank you for this update and info trick. I was hopeful I would have the same “good ish” news since our NOA2 are the same date, however alas when I called USCIS said they don’t see anything being done on our file since 17 march and to wait 90 days 😭😭😭

patience and courage to us all 🙏🏾

I got a response from NVC.  They said they do not have record of receiving the approved petition from USCIS.  They will contact USCIS to determine the location of my petition.  I don't need to do anything else at this time.

Anyone else have this happen?  How was it resolved?  Did they actually get back to you?

I will call the USCIS to see what they say.

Yeah this is the same response most of us are getting. More than likely, your petition is still at USCIS and its about to ship or just shipped out to NVC. Give it another 2-3 weeks and you'll have a case number hopefully
