MARCH 2023 K1 to NOA2 to NVC to EMBASSY

I know we've touched on this earlier in the thread, but just to clarify: I won't have to do anything once our I-797 expires, correct? Seeing how 3 months have aready passed without NVC contact, that's bound to happen now, so I just want to make sure I don't have to contact the embassy or anyone else and request for it be extended manually.

From what I have read it is extended by consulate without having to ask. Also your NOA2 is about the same as ours and our expiration date is mid-July. I hope that we all in the march group  at least have an interview date (even if after July as is most likely now 😞😞)

Wow 3.5 months from noa2 approval. This is just sad.

Indeed! Horrible.  When I got noa2 in March , the time line was 6-8 weeks to get thru nvc and be in transit. I even saw some people get thru in 4 weeks.  Since uscis recently started processing more cases the nvc has become backlogged now.  When I filled out my I-129F the time line said 6-8 months. Turned out to be 14 months.  Seems like those around my timeframe have run into the backlogs at uscis and now nvc.  This process has been frustrating and depressing. Glad to be on the final leg now.

Same boat. We got approved after almost 15 months, and now the additional 3 for NVC transfer. Which I could accept if I didn't have to worry about being left behind entirely without any help like poor @Bloomingdale

What's got me worried is that NVC research has not bothered replying to any of our inquiries (we've sent two since mid May, NOA2 and general information included of course), and all the USCIS keeps telling us is that our case hasn't been sent out. The deadline for Tier 2 to call us back is approaching fast too, wonder if that'll happen.

Please let us know when you got a call back from Tier 2. I am in week 3 and haven't heard anything yet.

Hope you hear something soon.  I would send another inquiry to nvc.  Keep on them until you get a response.

With the way timelines seem to be going for most people you will wait between 60-90 days before your case even leaves uscis after noa2.  Then another 3 weeks once case is received by nvc before you get a case number.

I think NVC has had enough of my emails…I got this reply today (day 70)…

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your previous inquiry regarding the status of your visa petition. We previously reached out to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to locate your petition, but have not received a reply.

If you have not received an update on your case in the next 30 days, please contact us again.

So the wait continues…only 20 more days to 90!!!!😒😅

I got the same email today (day 70), if i may ask, how often did you send an inquiry after this email? And did you email via public inquiry or NVCresearch? Thanks

We got through to USCIS today and they shipped it on the 25th May to NVC but its not showing as received in the NVC system. Is this generally what happens, I've read somewhere on here about 3 weeks before NVC receive, has anyone else had this?

and then is it more weeks once they receive to then get a case number too?

I think you'll get your case number next week. My petition was shipped on May 12th, and NVC got it on May 15th. From there, it took 2 weeks to get a case number (May 30th). So based on that timeline I would say it will be 2 weeks from May 28th-30th ( so around June 14th).
