hey how do we know when USCIS ships the case to NVC ? Is it updated on USCIS website or somewhere else ?

There's no exact date, but its supposed to be between 30-90 days, based on current time frames. The best way to see if they shipped it, is to call USCIS directly.

I made an inquiry on Monday asking for my case number, but haven’t heard anything from NVC. Previously it would take a day or two to get a response. Has anybody sent an inquiry this week and have you received a response from NVC

I also made an inquiry Monday and just received the usual we don’t have your case and will follow up with USCIS. So bummed but such is life.

To check if your petition has been shipped to NVC yet, you can contact USCIS via telephone. Call them at (800) 375-5283, when it asks what do you need help with, say "infopass" , this will get you to a live agent.

Has anyone received a case # from NVC

I got notification that our case arrived at NVC and was being "processed". I sent an inquiry and haven't heard anything yet -- it's been over a week from the inquiry, in the past it's only taken 2 days. I'm happy our case has finally arrived at NVC but now waiting for a case # seems a bit much.... anyone else?

I sent an inquiry and received an email back. I sent a direct email, rather than the public form -- NVCResearch@state.gov

Did you wait after 60 days and made inquiry?

I didn't, I started inquiring after two weeks through the public form. It doesn't affect your case how many times you inquire so why not?

Oops, guess I spoke too soon! I literally just got an email letting me know my case # and that it has been sent to my US Embassy in London!

Same here.

I got an email from NVC on May 4th that they had received my petition and it was waiting for a data entry into their system. Since then I haven’t heard any update. On May 15th I sent an inquiry asking for my case number, they got back to me on the 19th stating that the primary applicant ’s DOB on the inquiry didn’t match their records and asked me to submit a copy of the passport. I sent the copy both by email and public inquiry form, trying to be thorough, so they have no future excuses. I got an email yesterday from nvcresearch that they have received my petition and will send the detailed instructions soon. And they still didn’t give me my case number. “Soon” is very ambiguous, and I have no idea at this point why they are not giving me my case number….
