Hey, at least we're making history, right ...

I'm half wishing for a class action lawsuit or something at this point. 18+ months just to get through the very first step of the K1 is just inhumane. Especially since it would never have gotten this bad if USCIS hadn't deprioritized i-129fs as much as they did.

Haha not the kind of history I wanted to be making! I look at people that filed 6 months behind me and their whole process was over in about a year. Then I look at people that filed 6 months after me and they are counting on getting their NOA2s in 10 months (and it's getting faster). I know, I know, I should not compare since every case is different, but makes me feel definitely unlucky! But then again, we met in 2020 and faced so many complicated things already, I don't know why I expected this part to be easy.

February 2022 I-129F K1 Case Status Spreadsheet can be found here.
NVC Timelines spreadsheet can be found here.
NOA1:
Feb 22nd, 2022 | NOA2: May 12th, 2023 (444 days) | NVC Received: July 3rd, 2023 (52 days) | Case number: Aug 2nd, 2023 (82 days) | In Transit: Aug 15th, 2023 (95 days)  | Ready: Aug 17th, 2023 | Medical: Sep 22nd, 2023 | Interview: Sep 26th, 2023

Its been 100 days since NOA2 and no case number from NVC. I am getting concerned

Have you sent inquires to nvc and called uscis?

Im not far behind you, 85 days since noa2 and no case number as well.  I sent another inquiry yesterday to nvc.  Before our group 6-8 weeks max was entire nvc process.  We are getting the worst of the backlogs.  First uscis and now nvc.  Next will be embassy backlogs I’m sure at this point.  Ridiculous

Please, please everyone send email/mail to the Senators/representative. Need to push it need to force them to do something...

Look like all other cases going to NVC less than 30 days, USCIS only hold i129f cases. This is an unreasonable delay!

Woow, that would be awful if they keep us in a holding pattern after I-129F...
NVC seems to process relatively quickly (21 days) once it is there.
Just sending stuff over including some post-processing should really go much faster
than what we see now.

mutliple inquiries to NVC, my congressman, askemma

i will call USCIS as well

Remember to ask them to speak to a Tier 2 representative when you call USCIS using the infopass method, on top of insisting on concrete information.

Also, make sure to put in a request for case assistance to the CIS Ombudsman. (In fact, I'd urge everyone who's been waiting for 60+ days to contact the Ombudsman).

Both of those avenues unfortunately come with their own processing time of 30 days each, but it's better than nothing.

Ngl, I'm starting to get real pissed off.

Hang in there everyone! Finally got a response to my millionth inquiry that our petition is at NVC but not entered. I thank the god of small mercies. Today is day 81.

I'm on day 83. Called USCIS. The rep said that it should be received by NVC by the 90th day. Let's hope that holds true.

She also gave me some NVC insight: the NVC is so backlogged, they have told USCIS to NOT send any approved petitions until they are close to the 90day mark, post NOA2.

Might be true. Might not. That’s the frustrating part in all of this. The utter helplessness and logic of the process. I hope for all of us that their backlogs are sorted out. There is a person in the December group that hasn’t even gotten their NO2. It’s heartbreaking.

on a positive note, you’re close to day 90 so let’s pray that person spoke the truth!
