Congratulations. So it took them 19 days case creation plus 60 days transition from Uscis to nvc?

Yeah, but I haven't gotten my case created yet, since its only been 9 days. So I should get it in about 10 or so days. I'll post again once I get the case number and update my signature.

Yeah it took exactly 60 days for NVC to receive by petition from USCIS. Some people unfortunately have to wait up to 90 days from what I'm hearing. Its annoying, but at least almost everyone who got NOA2 in March 2023 should have their case in June.

I-1295F Sent - 12/31/2021

I-1295F NOA 1 - 01/07/2022

I-1295F NOA 2 - 03/17/2023

USCIS Shipped to NVC - 5/12/2023

NVC Received -  5/15/2023.

NVC Case Number - 5/31/2023

Ready At Embassy: 7/5/2023

Medical Exam: 8/14/2023

Interview Date: 8/17/2023

Flight to USA: 8/30/2023

Marriage: 9/13/2023

AOS & EAD NOA1: 10/16/2023

Good to know that fellow march filers are getting their case numbers/file at NVC. This is giving us hope that this week or next, we shall have ours. We are at day 68 today. Of course, hoping for faster consulate appointment but who knows 😅😅😅😅

Everyone, I finally got some "goodish" news. I spoke to USCIS today and they told me that they just shipped out my application on May 12, 2023 and it should be arriving to NVC this week! They informed that shipping times is up to 60 days now (I know, crazy!).

If you want to put your mind at ease and not keep e-mailing NVC as many times as I have, here's the best method to get in touch with them:

  1. (800) 375-5283, when it asks what do you need help with, say "infopass" , this will get you to a live agent
  2. Then tell them your receipt number, name, date of birth and ask if they can give you an update if its been shipped or not to NVC
  3. Either its been shipped (good news) or hasn't been shipped (sad news), either way, you'll have a better understanding as to where your petition is and why you aren't getting any updates from NVC.

I hope this helps. Best of luck to everyone

I just tried this, but was told its only been 70 days and you have to wait until 90 days:(

Does it depend who you get through to how helpful they are? Maybe I should try again? I still don't know if it's been shipped to NVC

Your mileage may vary. I've heard this response for some people and some people were told when their petition was shipped out. Our NOA2 dates are almost the same, so I'd suggest you try again in a few days and get a different agent. Worse case scenario, its only a few more weeks until the 90 day mark. Its really annoying, but unfortunately both USCIS and NVC are really backlogged and this is causing delays for so many people :(

Ok thanks, I'll try again next week...hopefully we hear soon. I've done an enquiry online too but haven't heard back yet

I think NVC has had enough of my emails…I got this reply today (day 70)…

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your previous inquiry regarding the status of your visa petition. We previously reached out to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to locate your petition, but have not received a reply.

If you have not received an update on your case in the next 30 days, please contact us again.

So the wait continues…only 20 more days to 90!!!!😒😅

Congrats!  How did you check case status? Is this once nvc has given you a new case number?

It’s been 76 days since noa2 and I’m still waiting for case number 😔

Yes, once NVC provides you with your case number. You can check your status online.

Ok so goodish news, and a potential avenue for those still waiting:

Since we're currently sitting at day 73 and the infopass method didn't bring any results, we tried going through Emma today and were able to connect with a live agent quickly – who promptly answered that our case doesn't seem to have been sent out yet. They then immediately offered to make an internal inquiry on our behalf (bless their soul), with a deadline of roughly two weeks.

So while that time frame would still put us at the 90 day mark, at least our case is now logged at USCIS and shouldn't be forgotten.

Thanks, we are still waiting,  please can you help with that you mean by going through Emma? How do we do this please?

Go to the USCIS website (like this contact page for instance) – in the top right corner you'll see an option called 'Ask Emma', which is the name of their chat bot.

All you gotta do is type in 'live agent' and she'll eventually connect you with someone from support. For best results, I recommend trying this in the morning on a weekday.
