Global Entry - port of entry

I got global entry two years ago and don't want to miss the access to expedited entry and TSA precheck. I'm currently waiting for my interview to be scheduled.

My questions are:

- Can I use the global entry line at the port of entry?

- can I keep my global entry membership after entry? is it possible / necessary to update it from my foreign passport to a GC? and in case the answer is yes: do I get a physical GE card and how?

when you enter on your immigration visa you cannot use global entry.

You are required to link your membership to your gc and you are required to use your gc at GE kiosks that don’t use face recognition.  I don’t know if you can link your gc to your membership online or if you have to go to a GE office.

You can order a physical GE card by paying a fee.  It’s rather useless except as an alternative ID for domestic travel, and as a pedestrian at land ports of entry in the Ready Lanes ( https://www.cbp.gov/travel/clearing-cbp/ready-lanes

), but a modern gc should work in a Ready Lane.   The next time you renew GE, you will get a GE card for free.
