Greencard expiry

Hello everyone.

It's been a while since I've visited this site. Everyone on here has been super helpful and supportive with resources and advice.

I've come back with a question regarding greencard expiry and I was hoping if someone could help me out.

I was issued my greencard about two years ago after our K1 interview. My spouse and I have been married for 2 years and three months (the greencard expires before our 3 year mark). I assume the greencard is conditional because it has will expire in a couple of months (making it a two-year greencard). I wanted to clarify what next steps should be before I file any applications.

After browsing the site, it looks like form I-175 is the way to go. Would that be correct?

Thank you in advance.

Yes

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

I 751. Removal of conditions. Must be filed in the 90 day period preceding the expiry of your conditional green card   The “receipt” you receipt after filing the paperworks extends your GC status for 24 months while the application is being processed. You will need both the receipt letter and the expired GC as evidence of lawful stay.

moved to Removal of Conditions as this  reflects the current status for OP

USCIS has upped the projected wait for I751 to 4 years.

They are currently issuing/reissuing 48 month extension letters to replace the previous 24 month ones.

48-month extension letters are now being issued.  Lots of us Vjers who have pending I-751s have received them in the last few days, so USCIS is doing something at least.
