But I'm filing my NVC today. I need to add my taxes inorder for me to submit. Should I put the 1099-INT?

Edit your timeline so that you get better advice.

Since  you haven’t properly filed you 2022 taxes yet, I don’t see why NVC needs your 2022 tax return,  especially since the federal government hasn’t accepted your e file yet.

I can update the timeline. But I'm not sure what to do with 1099-INT.

In short. Form I-130 was approved, and now I'm working on finishing NVC (AOS). Since my 2022 taxes doesn't have my 1099-INT information in it, will that be an issue if I submit the AOS section with what I currently have? As of now, I'm planning to submit everything I have now including my current 2022 taxes and my 1099-INT (I made $20).

I will amended my 2022 taxes at a latter time after I get back home.

You should submit to NVC everything you submitted to the IRS.

What about 1099-Int, should I submit that, too?

You didn’t submit 1099-INT to the IRS. So no.

You are not required  to submit 2022 taxes yet to NVC because we are still before the tax filing deadline and in your case you have not submitted a complete tax return to the IRS. Your return hasn’t even been accepted. And even if it was, you know it is wrong and you know you need to amend it.

From my understanding, I need to submit the latest tax year. In the section where it ask me for my taxes, what should I upload in that section?

Also, if I don't put something related to a 1099 form, I might get a RFE. With that, I can't write a statement that I don't have a 1099 form because I have a 1099-INT.

I just want to say thank you for replying back to me. I truly appreciate it.

until after april 15th all u need is 2021 tax returns

you will need 2022 for any interview after the 15th of april

when IRS accepts 2022 returns amend them with a 1040x

and  keep copies of all u send because IRS is taking months and months to do some returns and u may not be able to get a IRS transcript

As of now, I don't have my 2021 tax transcripts.

But I'm guessing it's okay to do this:

1) Send copies of my 2021 taxes?

2) I-864, recent tax year will be 2021?

3) I didn't receive 1099-INT for my 2021 taxes, so I'm guessing it's okay to submit a statement that I don't have any 1099s?

Yes. The latest tax year is 2021 until one if two things  happens:

* the tax filing deadline  for 2022

* you file a proper 2022 tax return

Neither of these things have happened.

Nothing, and I mean nothing, would cause me in February to  rush filing my 2022 tax return when I know tax 1099 and other forms are still coming. Haste makes waste.

I was pressured by my wife’s lawyer to file 2022 taxes before her N-400 interview last month. I said: no

My wife took oath of citizenship last week.

@JeanneAdil and @Mike E

I won't ever rush my taxes again.
